"Still more medically accurate than Grey's Anatomy" should be a common meme
No matter how smart Dexter is he’s still a kid and is very gullible when his sister makes jokes
steven universe is one of my absolute favorite cartoons, love that you reacted to a clip, they get into some heavy themes and steven goes through so much as a kid who literally saves the world multiple times but he’s given so much kindness and empathy for it
Cartoons use the x-ray effect because of nukes. Back when they tested nukes in the 40's and 50's a lot of the soldiers said they covered their eyes with their hands and the light was so bright they could see their bones under their skin. Kind of like how you can see light on the other side of your hand when you put your hand over it in the dark.
My son caught chicken pox when he was 3. He passed it me, i was 27. Honestly i felt just like an evil contaminated chicken. Very accurate cartoon. 👍🏼
People often forget how impactful children’s cartoons/mediums can be created to be. Cartoon Network has been a leading force in boosting the voices of artists and their works over what will solely be profitable. I’ve written research papers covering many literary theories they display throughout their educational programming. They’re incredibly focused on self growth, healthy relationships/workspaces, and draw attention to social issues, subtle and otherwise.
2:40 the reason theyre see through is because the light from an atomic explosion will pierce the eyes and make it where you can see through your eyelids and sometimes even your hands (just like when you put a flashlight on your skin, except your skin absorbs this flashlight and reflects it)
The way he brings out this entire plethora of medical knowledge of every part of the human body is so mind-boggling to me. Like I know he's a seasoned doctor but still. HOW does he store all this knowledge. It's fascinating to see their minds work.
As a mental health professional, I LOVE that snippet of Steven Universe! A show actually stating facts!!😍🤩😍
Steven Universe tends to focus on more deep subjects like Abandonment, Racism, Homophobia, and Depression. So it’s not surprising that Steven Universe got so medically accurate.
1:28 Dexter: i do not want to be an evil contaminted chiken😢 Doctor mike: WhO wAnTs To Be An EvIl cOnTaMiNaTeD cHiKeN I fell to the floor laughing
Thank you for covering The Amazing World of Gumball. One of animation's greatest with regards to the multiple mediums and styles they work with.
Steven Universe is absolutely amazing with the issues it tackles.
I loved Steven Universe Future, it was one of the first steps towards me actually getting help in therapy because I could relate to Steven a lot and the show helped me open up and talk about that and how it was affecting me. Glad to see it getting some praise!
0:50 because they were contaminated! Keep up!
If you have the thing where you say hey Siri and it activates then if you go to 4:19 what Robin says activates your Siri, for some reason
"Why is this so good and so accurate?!" I have a feeling mike should definitely watch steven universe and experience how amazing and at times mature it is😁
Adventure Time is the only one of these shows I've ever seen in context, and Doctor Mike's scandalized reaction to Doctor Princess revealing she's a fake cracked me up so much.
8:43 I’m late commenting so idk if someone posted this already but your brain doesn’t release cortisol, your brain specifically your hypothalamus synthesizes Corticotropin Releasing Hormone/CRH which causes the Anterior Pituitary gland to synthesize and release ACTH and ACTH is what prompts/stimulates your suprarenal/adrenal glands to synthesize and release cortisol which is mainly purposed for increasing your blood glucose levels and partially regulating your blood pressure by influencing sodium reabsorption in your kidney that causes more water to be retained resulting in an increase in blood volume.
