I experienced an achilles tendon insertion pain for 1.5 years from basketball. I thought basketball and running was done at 50 years old. No advised remedies worked. Then I found this post, followed directions and completed 3 weeks of daily work. I am now back to 100% healed and crushing my basketball opponents. Perfect advice and worked for me! Thank you very much 😊

YOU ARE A FUCKING HERO. I've been doing rehab for MONTHS and no one told me I had insertional achilles tendonitis until you. I saw my doctor, a podiatrist, and asked my old PT. I told all three that stretching, calf massage, and eccentric loading all aggravated it, and no one recognized that it wasn't mid-portion tendonitis. All my googling kept telling me I needed to keep doing those exercises. Looking forward to actual recovery! Subscribed!

Weekly progression at 4-5 times per week:
Week 1: 10 x 30 seconds
Week 2: 5 x 1 minute
Week 3: 3 x 2 minutes
Week 4: 2 x 3 minutes
Week 5: 1 x 5 minutes

I've been dealing with this pain for years and none of the doctors I've seen want to take it seriously or come up with an actual solution so I've just learnt to live with it

@lucyg7887

I am not joking or exaggerating at all when I say this.
I have had this pain for the last 6 months. I tried wrapping my ankle, elevating, stretching and many other things and still nothing helped. During the last few days the bottom of my foot started to hurt because the pain moved down. I workout every other day and walk at least 3 miles a day so I’m not sedentary. I googled to find help because I dislike doctors and I happened across this video. I got up this morning and did 10 sets of 30 secs each and already can feel a difference! Thank you so much. I will be back in 5 weeks to update on my progress. I haven’t felt this much relief in months!

THIS VIDEO MEANS EVERYTHING!!!! I have been suffering from insertional achilles tendonitis for 3 years and am resisting the urge to have surgery because I want to fight and win the PT journey. I really understand why the heel drops were not working for me. You explained wonderfully

You have truly lifted my spirit and my life. Thank you

@Autumnwinds99

Thank you so much for this post! I went to PT and they had me do the exercises for mid portion achilles tendon when I have insertional and I told them where the pain was when we started. Needless to say it made it worse. I have been doing this for just a week and it is helping. After 7 months, there is hope for recovery.

@vide0gameCaster

JEEEUZ KRIST MY DUDE! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS.
2 weeks in and I got rid of that problem. I'm back into training. Thank you so much!

@lulu2youable

I was wondering why I wasn't healing. After watching this, I was pain-free in two weeks! I'm over 50 and I thought it would take a lot longer. Thanks so much for posting this. Finally!

@jamesbailey5008

Something you prescribed in another video made a HUGE difference to my chronic Achilles issue, runners arabesque. Also, if you're having a flair up always wear shoes and ideally put wedges in your heals, this unloads the tendon, let's it settle down.

Has taken me years of extreme frustration and research to find the about.

@mikhailperalta4816

Been experiencing this for a month now and glad found this video.

@amiewalker477

@ibhomer1017

I'm so happy to have found this! I have been suffering with this discomfort for the past year...I can't wait to start this exercise today!!!

@juliuscaruncho6107

OH MY .. THANK YOU SO MUCH JAMES. BEEN HURTING FOR 1 YEAR NOW MY LOWER TENDON AND THE EXERCISE YOU TAUGHT WAS VERY VERY HELPFUL FROM THE FIRST TIME I SEE THIS, I DID IT QUICKLY BUT WAS PAINFUL AT FIRST.

@pokey0307

Thank you for this! I hurt my Achilles at the heel while running about 7 years ago and I've never been able to fully get rid of the pain. I've been to 2 different physical therapists over the years to get help with addressing it and they had me doing lots of calf stretches and heel drops which just aggravated the injury. I'll give this program a try and hopefully I can finally shake the injury for good!

@timdunstan5736

Started barefoot/minimalist running a few years back(54yo) and slowly built up a bit of distance until the insertional achilles pain kicked in and stopped me in my tracks. Tried all sorts of stretching (heel drops etc) for about 6 to 8 months before finding this video. After starting this exersize I began running again after a few days although I can't do the exersize more than 2 * 2.5 minutes. Thanks heaps for this post it has helped me a lot.
