Something I would add to this is in the episode greasy buffoons, he drives a semi perfectly on the road with mr.krabbs and backs it up next to the chum bucket and dumps the tanker then drives off again, I know you mentioned the inconsistency but the whole miss puff thing really makes sense especially since driving a big truck is alot harder than a boat I'd imagine. Video was great ;)

He drives a boat perfectly in Teachers Pest episode where both Plankton and Mr. Krabs get sent to boating school for causing a major accident from their road rage. Mrs. Puff even says I can’t believe I am saying this but yall need to be like SpongeBob. The episode ends with him driving up saying he completed the course and then Nickelodeon decides to do a giant fuck you to him by having him barely touch Mr. Krabs wrecked boat and cause a Nuclear explosion so he could fail to get his license.

at 3:20 you can't actual use that as spongebob driving. It was Ms Puffs imagination of what she thought he would do. She even says after that Spongebob didn't have a boat so it didn't matter. Which in her thought bubble of him driving it was one of the normal boats but in that episode his parents gave him a new boatmobile that was completely different from all the normal ones they all drive. You actually mixed two episodes in that because the episode he does the maneuver that you are talking about was in a episode where Ms Puff gets fired. Spongebob in that episode was military taught but he was taught how to drive with a blindfold not without it. If he did do it the other way around Spongebob would've passed his test. Also the weird thing about spongebob driving is that they show him knowing how to drive but his nerves are the problem. You see this with Tony Fast Jr who tells him to relax. The problem is Ms Puff because she doesn't try to relax Spongebob at all. She makes more of the chaos. You can see this as he drives the Patty wagon and his Bubble Boat which are the other two times he actually "drives" without needing a license. I don't count the auto driving car episode because well its suppose to drive itself. So really he knows how to drive it's just Ms Puff and his nerves are the problem. Yes he did take the test in his longpants which he "failed" but passed because of his longpants but he was still nervous even with a little more confident.
