This is very true. I know a channel that got 100k subs and 100m+ views from shorts. He tried to break into long form videos, only to get 500 views on two videos and give up. I'm hoping the same doesn't happen to me, which is why I'm going to focus on long form videos while my channel is still small.
I've watched so many of your videos through the recommendation system, I think it's about time I subscribed!! Another banger as always, man
This is why, I have dedicated long form channels alongside my dedicated shorts channels
Hey man been watching a few of your videos recently, idk how practical this is but I really think a lot of people (including myself) would really enjoy a full length editing tutorial on where you describe how you animate certain parts of your video or make cool transitions, keep up the sick videos!
I gained a lot of subs from shorts. And I know it doesnt necessarily translate to longform views, but, honestly, I'm okay with that. I've been on YouTube for a little over a year and I have learned a lot. One thing people need to understand is that shorts and longform viewers are usually two different animals and they don't always watch both forms of content. I, for one, don't go out in search of shorts. However, it pops up as soon as I open my YT app. I'm more of a longform person myself, but there are some creators whose shorts I will watch. So, just because you get thousands, or even millions, of views via shorts, don't get discouraged if your videos don't do as well. As I said: two different animals 👍 I personally plan on working on my long form content a little more. I won't be giving up shorts, though: shorts are a great way to grow your channel. Don't forget: building a community is what is really important. I love being about to converse with my subscribers and everyone who enjoys my shorts and videos. Don't forget there is a human on the other end and they are just like you: they also want to feel appreciated 😊
This is the reason why im now trying to make more long form content instead of shorts, n8 is always inspiring me to never give up on youtube ❤👍
nice editing
I’ve been wondering this for awhile and I’m glad someone made a video on this. THANK YOU
How you make your thumbnail ??? please make a dedicated tutorial video on this topic .😊😊
If you create content for a specific country then shorts can show your face to the whole country audience. Here in Greece we got like 1million gaming viewers. Almost everyone has watched at least 1-2 of my shorts.
n8wealth is probably the smartest YouTuber on this platform. This is a great video!
Great video! Some really interesting points :) One piece of unsolicited advice (sorry): IMO the video would have been better if it were 6-7 minutes. Around the 7 minute mark I started to get distracted / looking at how long was left etc. Still, this is far better than any of my videos so take my opinion as a pinch of salt
I was gonna invest my life savings on making a YouTube shorts business and try scaling it, now I won’t because of Nate’s great advice. He’s don’t it again. Sensational!🔥🔥🔥🔥
Solid video! Thanks for sharing :D
Is it effective to post long form and shorts at the same time?
Yo n8 I’d really appreciate some vids on or just advice about improving viewer retention.
This helped alot
please i have a big problem can you help me? my channel is doing great when i start uploading like my videos get atleast 20 k view or more but when people start copying my content my view go's down and now my videos views hardly reach to 5k so you think is theres a way to fix this?
I’m only gonna use shorts for very important announcements n stuff. They won’t get many views but they don’t need too, they only need to strengthen my already existing audience
