There is a nice story about him, his senior debut (as a starting player, second game with the palmeiras shirt) was against Corinthians, their biggest rivals, and with both starting defenders injured palmeiras went on the game with a U23 defense, with Naves ( a youngester who was 3rd choice and played regurlaly) and Reis. Palmeiras won the game 2x0 with a Reis goal and then began to appear in the starting 11
