I was going to skip Jiyan at first. Then I did his story quest and knew I had to get him. I still think his companion quest is one of the best in the game, a very down to earth story of a leader suffering through the grief of loosing soldiers in war. Makes it even better when you recall his insane self sacrifice plays during the Dreamless fight. A true Frontline general who leads by example. May Jiyan be relevant in the meta forever.

It's ironic cause jiyan's gameplay is 'braindead' but he's the only reason i actually learned fast rotation because i once didn't have enough er on him. He basically made me become a better player

Jiyan didn't fall off in ToA either. He just doesn't destroy it nearly as hard as some other characters. And his best support is still a 4-star. We're yet to see his true form.

I recall when jiyan released at the first verison. CN players threw their cash on him like he was an exorbitant treasure. they suddenly realised a widescale scam/glitch or something about jiyan's build. Twitter rioted, devs apologised and refunded. Good on their part because that wasn't the only chaos brewing.

My biggest regret has to be not getting Jiyan. I skipped him in favour of Carlos but getting Calculator Jiyan’s weapon and pulling for Yinlin and her signature. Truly, a mistake 😔. I also did not get him in the anniversary banner because I was busy with Zani, her weapon and Phoebe’s weapon. 😔

it's pretty amazing that kuro made the endgame with a lot of variety to make the old characters relevant, one being a skill check and the other time management.... unlike most gachas that has the same endgame goal, make the new ones soar and the older ones fall to obscurity... although they should kind of rework the standards at least... like make Jianxin a good buffer, fix Carlos so he is playable, make encore more viable to quickswap(she already is i know but i just want a bit more oof to her dmg) and BUFF LINGYANG!!
