This was something I always wanted. A Harry potter game where I could actually go to Hogwarts, learn spells, explore an open world, make choices that impact the story, choose my own house... God, I'm just so excited for this game.

In addition to it being separated from the books, the late 1800s is a good time period for this just because the wizarding world won't look like morons for not knowing about phones and other tech.

My favorite shot of the whole trailer is 0:56 because it speaks directly to two things I was really hoping for in this game, and that is, not just gorgeous, well designed Hogwarts interiors, but also the fact that it feels nuanced and alive at every corner. I’m referring to the armor reacting to the presence of the player of course. For me, the magic of any world is in the tiny stuff, the nuances of the world. What a stunning shot of the castle interiors.

I am speechless. Thank you so much. Thank you and have such an incredible time finishing the game. We have been waiting for this for countless years. As a lifelong gamer, and an almost lifelong fan of this universe I could not be more hyped. Been thinking about the potential of a game like this for... well, you could argue 20 years in my case, and I know I’m not alone. I have played every game set in the Wizarding World since I was a kid starting with The Sorcerers Stone on PS1! And that feeling to this day remains incredible, but I have little doubt that this will be the greatest realization of not just Hogwarts, but the entire Wizarding World that we have ever seen and I am so excited to walk around this beautiful world! I hope this marks an incredible start to what Avalanche Studios will come to be known for! P.S. If there is ANY chance that the rooftops of Hogwarts could be semi-explorable... that would be a real dream come true! Ha, like the idea of flying up to the roof of Hogwarts and just catching a gorgeous view of the grounds (and some parts of the castle) is something I’ve dreamed about for years and would really make us feel like we could explore EVERY inch of the castle... which I understand is probably a more complex ask seeing as the rooftops are a bit vertical and I don’t assume climbing (a la’ Assassins Creed Syndicate or Infamous) will be part of this experience... but if it is... lucky us! But no matter what, thank you for whatever this is going to be, know that I, and we fans are all around the world are grateful! But if I could say one thing to the devs of this game it would be a quote from the trailer itself lol “Your potential... is limitless, but what form will it take?! The choices you make now... will definite a legacy of Hogwarts!”
