@StarTrek4Life

This reminds me a lot about the old History channel before it turned into Ancient Aliens and WW2 conspiracies. I love this. Its really fascinating, and I want more. Cant get enough.

@izzieb

If they're buried in the bedrock, does that make them incontinents?

@juless27

i cannot overstate how much i love the earth. this channel is one of many that scratches the itch. thank you.

@JimFinley11

If we were an aquatic species, maybe we'd be talking about the seas you wouldn't find on Google Maps. Fossil seashells are everywhere on the crest of the Sandia Mountains on the east edge of Albuquerque, New Mexico, more than 10,000 feet (over 3,000 meters) above sea level; once this was at the bottom of an inland sea cutting through North America.

@glennlee6987

Another excellent video from Astrum. Always well done and informative. IMO, one of the best documentary channels on Youtube. 🙏

@100percentSNAFU

Astrum earth and James are a very good companion to Astrum space and Alex. Just discovered this channel and enjoyed the video very much!

The famous harpoon dredged up by the trawler Colinda from the Leman and Ower Banks—part of submerged Doggerland—was made from red‑deer antler and measures about 14.6 cm (5.7″). Radiocarbon dating in 1988 placed it at approximately 11,950–11,300 cal BC, meaning it’s about 13,300 to 12,300 years old—making it an iconic Late Upper Palaeolithic artifact from the area.

To be clear, Able Tasman wasn't the first to discover New Zealand. Polynesians discovered the land 600 years previous. Able Tasman arguably was the first European to discover New Zealand. Subtle difference..

@nigelworters3667

Excuse me, zircon itself is not radioactive. The inclusion of elements such as uranium are what provide the radioactivity. Combined with the fact that Zircon is virtually indestructible is what makes is ideal for dating purposes

@RubyDoobieScoo

New Caledonia is also part of Zealandia.

@michaelniederer2831

Nicely done! I've just subscribed, and will be looking forward to more. Thanks!

@Mossback666

I didn't know that I needed Astrum Earth, but now I know that I can't live without it.

@markschroter2640

Excellent production values, interesting storyline, this is very good work. Thanks for posting.

@Timeworks1

I can just imagine someone birthed on a boat watching this video
"Where were you born?"
"It's a long story..."

@Jezzaaa3

This was super interesting and something I never knew before! Love this new Astrum channel. Keep up the good work and looking forward to the next 😊

@stevedolesch9241

These channels, Astrum with Alex and this one with James, are very nice to watch! Steve in Canada

@Ty.Connelly.

How can they "Discover" if human beings are already living there? .....say what?

@Dickie72002

Wow! this channel makes anything the BBC does look like second rate. Great video!

@gcopeland442

This feels rather like Fall of Civilisations: Geology edition! Really engaging, well narrated and great visuals. I was casually watching this on my phone and my 5yo was RIVETED and yapping along - so well done for bridging the generation gap with your content, it’s earned another sub ❤
