This is history in the making, I never thought id ever see Ross let her go elsewhere. Glad to see her Rolling again
Nice catch! I was fortunate to see her on display at the C&O Railway Heritage Center back in 2023.
I rode on an excursion behind that locomotive many years ago. They did photo run-bys at Weverton and ran as far as Martinsburg.
My special needs son is overjoyed to see 614 being restored to operation!
This runby of 614 moving to Strasburg is awesome.🎉❤
Can’t wait to see her restored.
Glad that she is about to move to be restored
That’s it you lost your 614 rights 0:34
must have been a sight to see such a big engine like 614 headed to strasburg
Always thought it was a waste to let her rust and just sit.I hope for the best for her.And the same for the people working on her.
AWESOME! I can’t wait to see it under steam!
Great catch! Can't waut to hear that 614 will be back under steam again!
A very big move and the first this massive engine was moving since the 90s
Awesome! I'm glad they're restoring her :)
Great video well done!
I got a feeling that 2026 will be a big year for steam locomotives now that both Reading 2100 (AFT 250) and C&O 614 are being restored to full operation, perhaps N&W 611 could potentially be painted in it's AFT livery to go along side SP 4449 if possible. It's been like two years since a 4-8-4 northern type was sent to Strasburg Railroad of which N&W 611 was the one, me and my family were very lucky to ride the train pulled by 611 before it was send back to Virginia. And hey if Strasburg can restore 614 let alone operate 611 on their rails, imagine what they can do with other large steam locomotives in the not-too distant future like NKP 765, Reading 2100, UP 844, NYC 3001, and SP 4449.
Are they going to keep it in the same paint or change it
WHOOOOO!!! YEAH!!! At long last, C&O Greenbrier 614 is on the road to restoration!!!
I am very behind why is it going to Strasburg?
