Man, you are an artist at teaching an entire song in a short.
he played the office theme chords too lol
Thanks for the Wagon Wheel short!!
Marty, you’re the man. Even if you do wear that ridiculous hat. For real though. Learned more from this guy than any one other person.
I actually like this explanation a lot but one thing I’ve noticed is that it’s easier to play that E chord with index and middle fingers so you can pivot easier to the C chord
I believe it’s also Lynyrd Skynyrd’s all I can do is write about it
Thank you for everything Marty you helped me learn my first song. I love your lessons. They’re so helpful. Keep going.
All the tool sheds saying the Capo needs to be on fret 2 are missing the entire point of this lesson. Marty is giving a quick and dirty, beginner lesson to strum basically an entire tune in less than a minute of instruction. Doesn't matter what key the original is in, Far from the point and learning goal of this short. Keep it simple and short and sweet, I am guessing most of the folks worried about the Capo and original key comments probably would take the entire length of this short most likely longer just to explain how to put a Capo on the second fret if its so important.
Love these short tutorials.
Hit the 2 hard every time and try to hit the root first when you change chords, missing or muting the string(s) physically above it. Great song to work on that stuff ‘cause it’s so easy. Really will make this one sound great!
Good song
Love this tune. Thanks Marty !!!! You’re awesome.
It also sounds like free bird and the office theme
I thought he was gonna play FREEBIRD with the first 3 chords
Eres muy buen profesor! Saludos desde Argentina
Capo on 2nd 🙂
Thanks Marty!
It is a great song!! I learned it on the 🎸. Thanks for sharing!!
For me it’s easier to switch em to c with my first two fingers instead of what you were doing
