Rachmaninoff was a bridge between romance and avantgarde, with a russian symphonic behavour. The frozen heart of an arctic man with the warmth of a lover on spring time. Truly a genious of music.

Rachmaninoff was my favorite composer since 2006 when my music teacher asked me to write an essay about his life. His life's beautiful sadness reflected on my life too. 
I am from Russia and moved to the US; when I am listening his music, I see my beautiful home country.
Rachmaninoff is not only beautiful music, but also the Love to Nature, People and Home. Rachmaninoff's music is in my heart...

I just turned this on to play in the background while I'm working.. but I found myself so touched and overwhelmed by the music and I simply can't waste this heavenly melody like that. 

It should be enjoyed and listened to on its own...

While I have heard of Rachmaninoff, this is my first time hearing the majority of his pieces. I've been missing out. Absolutely beautiful. Great to listen to while studying, doing yoga, or before bed. It's so relaxing and the emotional undertones of some of these pieces had me in tears. Thank you for sharing.

I was at a book market last night in Shimbashi, Tokyo filming a Youtube video.  I found CD's and grabbed one out of the box and it was Rachmaninov.  I laughed in disbelief as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is one of my favorite films and they mention him.  I instantly bought the CD in new condition for 200 Yen.  Now here I am, here with you today, listening to his wonderful music.
