@RamtechENG

Do you like Windows Vista? P.S it took 2.5 years to film this video

@Random_Person_YT.

SOME windows 7 drivers work on windows vista because of how identical they are in the code of both OS's

@swissbrony23ch72

Windows Vista is in my Opinion the most beautiful OS Ever Created. It was my childhood too. I remember playing Moorhuhn Kart and Train Simulator on it.

You're doing the very best PC Experiments on YouTube. That's exactly the content I really want to see. Thank you so much for doing that! That's incredible!

@محمدالسلمونىالسلمونى

The fact that this cool man won't give it up until the audience is happy! Thank u so much, man, and much love ❤

@gooberboy69420

FINALLY IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT

@marcelmedia

I really enjoy watching your videos. I’ve been obsessed with computers from a very young age and this really brings back memories of messing around, testing things on my really old laptop from 2006. This was in 2011 so the laptop was already old by then. Installed every os from windows 2000 all the way to windows 8 developer preview. Even managed to hackintosh it and install Mac OS on it. Good times.

@unknownscout4052

This is soo cool
It must have felt satisfying to finally get windows vista!
I must say windows 7 and windows vista and windows XP are the greatest windows to ever release! And love your videos man keep up the good work! 👍

@thewiiguy

Imagine using vista on modern hardware. Would be awesome. I would buy a HP omen and install Windows vista on it.

@minipicc95

The NVIDIA Game Ready Drivers versions 368 to 372 are compatible with Windows Vista but not officially. They do support Pascal Cards except for the GTX 1050, 1030, and 1010!!!

@m_acg

Some tips: Don't forget to apply all updates, including all optional updates (especially platform updates, which adds DirectX 11 support) to the system. You can also apply all securities updates (including meltdown and spectre patches) from Server 2008 "R1" and they give extra 6+ years of security support at least.

@blackterminal

I still think Vista has a beautiful desktop and the gadgets were nice. The later windows are more bland in my opinion.

@TheBrawl

In Windows 7 when booting from UEFI, if it gets stuck on Starting Windows, it technically isn't stuck, i installed Windows 7 on modern hardware (Ryzen 5 5500, MSI B550 MPG Gaming Plus, 16 Gigs and a GTX 1660 Super) with CSM mode, but i wanted to boot with UEFI, but it did get stuck, but i heard the startup chime, so it technically isnt stuck.

@Dodge34

The main problem when Vista was released, is it needs 4GB of ram to work decently, and most affordable by the average user PC or laptops at that time still had 1GB or 2GB of ram on them, which caused a big struggle.

@dieguix

2:24 the Windows Setup booted succesfully because that's the Windows 7 Setup customized with Windows Vista Setup skin, so that’s why Windows Vista failed on the second stage, you should have realized when you saw the Windows 7 Bootscreen instead of Vista starting from the USB and in the moment to check that acpi.sys file is the 6.1.7601 version (2:39), the same build number of Windows 7 SP1 boot.wim file vs acpi.sys file v6.0.6002 (2:51), the build number of Windows Vista SP2 located of install.wim file (the OS obviously). I had a similar experience with the ACPI Bluescreen installing Windows 7 on a 2018 HP laptop (AMD Ryzen) but on my main 2021 desktop PC (AMD Ryzen) got installed succesfully without any issues and worked very well for me, i think the problem is the compatibility with the chipset that doesn't depends of the hardware's age. Always there are modern chipsets that can run old OS's than another older ones can't

@fox8betwin

I Still used windows vista and the same laptop from 2007 and all work normal.

@devilzuser0050

I have 10-11th gen (Z590 + 11900KF, R9-290X/GTX980Ti ) and Vista / 7 is working well. key is: Asmedia106x PCIE SATA card. + optical drive + ps2 keyboard + usb3 addon card, that has driver for old windows. (SnappyDriverInstaller) But XP has bsod in the setup.

@aquamarine2044

Always loved Windows Vista. In fact, I'm thinking about reinstalling Vista on my Dell XPS 410 computer. And dual boot Windows Vista and 10. Actually I never cared much for Windows 8, 10 and 11.

@whitebeartigtig

I saw you on the winraid forum when just looking through a few posts. That's what reminded me that you existed and did this sort of stuff. With how terrible youtube has been at recommending videos recently, I probably wouldn't have found this.

I'm mostly on there to follow posts about the Dell Precision 7530 running Windows 7.

@EquilibriuMind

Really liked tboth video's about Vista on modern hardware, now try it with an AMD Ryzen cpu ;)

@Omar_Wakill
