I stayed overnight at the hospital with my Dad who was a patient. At about 2 a.m. the night nurse opened his door, stepped inside and wiggled his leg. My father took a couple seconds to respond as he had been totally out of it. She said “Mr. H, do you need anything to help you sleep?” My Dad just stared at her as she backed out the door.

I was in the hospital for almost THREE days after an entire night of not sleeping, in the ONLY room with a door that was broken. I heard EVERYTHING, from every page to every unanswered phone call, the nurses late night conversations wherein they discussed their salaries and benefits, their love lives, etc. you can imagine. I asked the first night I was there for something to help me sleep and I was told yes by one nurse but EVERYTIME they came around it was another nurse and they had to go and verify it and that took ages and I’m not one to overly take advantage of the “button” lol so I just suffered. It sucked so bad.

This is an overnight bus, they are like a tenner to travel from khon san to bangkok so most of the country. They dont let you keep the blanket and wake you up when you reach a meal spot (discounted meal) and when ur arriving.

I always wake up swinging so nobody ever wakes me abruptly. My youngest daughter is the only one allowed to wake me up because she does so very gently and of course that’s my baby so even in deep sleep I know it’s her ❤

Thanks, now I have the idea to take a sign with me when I travel that will say “ I am an insomniac, if I fall asleep and it’s not important, don’t wake me up.” 😂😂😂
