So basically for those who dont understand Nuclear fusion is a process in which two light atomic nuclei combine to form a heavier nucleus, releasing a tremendous amount of energy. This is the same process that powers the Sun and other stars, as well as hydrogen bombs. The key feature of nuclear fusion is that the mass of the resulting nucleus is slightly less than the combined mass of the original nuclei, and this "missing" mass is converted into energy according to Einstein's famous equation, \(E = mc^2 \).For fusion to occur, the two nuclei must come extremely close together. However, atomic nuclei are positively charged, so they repel each other due to electrostatic forces (Coulomb repulsion). To overcome this, the nuclei need to be moving at very high speeds, typically achieved by extremely high temperatures (millions of degrees Celsius) and pressures.temperatures around 15 million degrees Celsius (27 million degrees Fahrenheit) and under immense pressure. These conditions cause atoms to move fast enough to collide with each other with enough force to overcome their electrostatic repulsion.
