What I think is really telling is that you have guys like Danaher, Gordon and now Josh teaching what used to be month 1 Jiu Jitsu in the 90s. It just goes to show how lost BJJ has gotten in its focus. Glad to see essential basics making a comeback. This is essentially what was taught on the Craig Kukuk DVDs back around 1999. Very good stuff Josh. Keep with the fundamentals that work.
Love the level of detail - thank you
Perfect timing. I just spent a whole round trying to progress from closed guard
30 seconds into this vid and i feel attacked 🤣
Bravo. I have to say, Josh, the quality of your teaching is getting better and better. And these connected mini-systems are excellent for all levels of grapplers. I don't even use closed guard much, but this was great. Thank you!
Great tutorial! Thanks. That kids gonna be in the gym doing pull ups everyday now 😂
This is great, so many simple things a WB can take to the gym over the course of a couple weeks and incorporate into their training. If you haven't already, can you do a video on the mechanics of moving your hips and repositioning, like at 4:07? It's SO fast, and you cover so much ground. A lot of beginners (including myself) struggle to move around this well on the ground.
Great stuff. Good job.
Spewy is a fkn Legend.
beautiful oil check to counter to the k guard that kids going far

This is money. Thank you, mate. 🤙🏻
Amazing! TY Josh!
So many details ❤
Interesting that Josh went to the triangle setup from k-guard instead of choi bar, which we saw a lot of in ADCC/CJI
