I already knew he was important the first time we met him, it was random af and his attire was more detailed than some npc. Then meeting him in the village, when no resident in Ragunna passes the Order to the other side of the land that isn't Fasalia. Which meant he was no ordinary resident or tourist searching to simply write a script. When I asked on the discord, I got alot of people telling not every npc has to be playable lmao. Now he is most likely have a probability being playable, hes just way to important to the story. I do like your theory for his Resonators ability though.

-2:58 You can see in Lupa's eyes the Green hue when she is ready to fight Cartethiya. Cristoforo is CONTROLLING her!!! also that part where she is spinning her spear, her eyes flashes for a momment and we see the green hue again. Lupa's eyes is yellow-greenish not entirely green

I feel like the reason why he looks like an npc is probably intentional. My wild theory is that that is how he looks like but also not at the same time. The threnodian looking shadow behind him when he fell into the sea is probably hinting that he may have fused/assimilated with it. Which iirc, is the main/one of the fractsidus' goal. And he'll eventually show his true form near the end of the Rinascita arc and becomes a boss we can beat weekly, like Scar and Hecate. And this could also be a good excuse to pull a Selena(PGR) to redesign him and make him a playable character😂

Cristoforo was most likely a Fractsidus Overseer in deep cover. He's so methodical in his acting that even high-ranking Fractsidus member (e.g., Phrolova) was fooled by his manufactured persona.

I always found Cristoforo very interesting, and now seeing just how capable he really is in the new trailers is very... Eye...opening- okay, no pun intended. But the point stands, my boy is easily one of the best new characters introduced in Rinascita
